JDM Headlights

Hey-I'm new to this whole forum thing. Just signed my boyfriend Scott up as a member. Need some help on making some JDM headlights work in his car. Anyone have any tips on this please let us know.

Well, not to burst your bubble, but you cant make any JDMs, you gotta shell out cold hard american cash, and prolly send it to Japan to get them. Prophet, aka Jason, has the hook up on these for under $400....I think there is a GB going on the Galantforums.com. Good luck.

Chikago: I believe that they already have the JDM headlights and they need to figure how to get them to work?? from what I read correctly :?

But any ways to answer your question... run a search in the forums.. but I do know that you would need to get a H1 and and H7 wireing harness and splice them into your existing wires... you might also want to ask a member here by the name of reelax on how to wire them because he has done it

Thanks for your replies, I think we have the wiring figured out, it's just actually making them fit. They stick out 1/4" too much. Everyone says to modify the grill, but it's not the length of them. Scott's mechanic suggests bashing in the radiator support. Not a bad idea, but not until later on when the intercooler and all that stuff happens.

Yes you have to bash the supports in order for them to fit. Trust me I know.

I just cut the headlight housings themselves. I didn't feel light messing with the radiator support beam.

you should never "bash" anything on your car..

take a dremel or some kind of rotary tool and cut some metal off the radiator support where the jdm's hit.
