Need help taking out the headlights!

Hello, I just finished clearing one of my headlights corners when i ran into a problem. I can't take the wiring connector out of the other headlight! For my first headlight, I simply yanked it out, but it does not work on my other one. I'm thinking I got lucky on my first one, and there's something I'm not doing right to take the wires out. I've been trying to get it out for about an hour now am about ready to take a bat and start wacking it. Please help soon!

you are supposed to squeeze the connector on the sides of it and it should release
