I'd start a poll to see how many are interested.
Okay I have been in contact with Gregg from HyperDrive. He is willing to make a strut tower bar for us. What I need from everyone is what we would like to see. I personaly would like to see it made of some high quality alluminum not that tubular stuff. Gregg will try to keep it at a $100.00 mark and so would I. So give me ideas everyone.

Here is a few more ideas I got from TJC:
[LIST]Good materials used (high quality aluminum or alloy) (I think ends can be steel or similar alloy)[*]Not adjustable (ridged design) [*]Wide straight bar (ridged design) [*]Mounts on ends should be on at least 2 bolts if not all 3 (ridged design) [*]Light but effective: Channeled or hollowed for lightness but still stiff or design can actually add to that quality [*]Good looks: Finish should add asthetic value and should look ridged [*](optional design) offered in various end colors (powdercoated) [*](optional design) 3rd mounting point on firewall for more ridgedness (designed specifically for Galants or Eclipses)[LIST]
I'd start a poll to see how many are interested.

i'm down for a 3 point stb in red or polished color.
Hey Jason, I added a poll for you to get an idea from our members.

Thank you TJC.

I think if it was Titanium, everyone would jump on. I have the Freedom Design, but if there is a Titanium Strut Bar I would sell the Freedom for that!

If it were true titanium, it would be 5 times the price. And for that price, I'd get hooked up with a full chasis stiffening kit, hehe.Originally Posted by 99DE

Jason, you should check out Dr. Design. He already has the three point strut bar specifically for Galants. I'm not trying to dilute your GB, because you really run them well. Just don't want you to go to a lot of extra work to have something made that may already be out there.
Peace, Man. And thank for the Hyper Alloys GB.

Hey no problem Chip. I am aware of the strut from Dr. Design. I am trying to get a strut bar at a resonable cost while getting the overall look everyone is looking for. The one from Dr. Design IMO is one made specifically for racing intent and again IMO does not really look all that good but again this is only my opinion.

most defiantely be down if i liked what i saw ive seen some of the stb's out there nothing too great looking they serve the purpuse im sure but i want somethign that looks good as well as works so if i liked it i would most definately be down for it one more addition if they could add Galant on the top of it here's some pics of a one i got for a friend for his is300 looks hella nice if they can somehow make one like that id buy a dozen of them lol j/k 1 would be enough but anyway here's the pics
How it says r Millin how hot would it look if you had galant written out like that? also that finish goes with every color i can think of

You know that really does look nice. What about instead of it saying Galant what about just a plain diamond star?
Jason
i'm into things that are nice plain and simple, oh yea also needs to be polishedOriginally Posted by Outlawzcc
the dsm star would be nice but kinda predictrable addin the ant i think would look hella sweet written out like that just a personal oppinion as for finish i like what ever that is some call it silver some call it powdercoat i just know i like that finish not a big fan of chrome if i could get one like that id be willin to pay a bit extra on that and if u talk to the guy and this in some case does happend feel free to put my name down at the first on the list on the buy anyway not like these are gettin made right now lol

Actually I was thinking also the plain DSM star because I would like to keep the cost of the STB down as low as possible. If it where to only say Galant I could not market it to 3G. If I can get more people on the GB the cost of the STB will be lower but maybe I could get Gregg to make one that says Galant and the other to say Eclipse.
Jason
ah didnt know u wanted to involve the 3g croud in well ya like u said try to push for the 2 kinds if possible i would be down for the tristar if it was carved into the stb like the r millen is just dont want a billion colors on the stb just nice and clean and simple but again this is just my prefrence

The Rod Millin STB is not a bad looking one. I like some of the design elements that Cusco, Mugen, & Weapon-R puts into their STB's. Polished and black ends would be the most universal color. If it's completely anodized in colors, that would be something a lot of other manufacturers don't do; there are a handful that does but design looks poor. As for the "Galant" or "Mitsubishi symbol", they are trademarks and they probably can't be put on the product legally.
[size=10]. . . .
ah ya didnt think of that so much for that idea butprolly just bought down the price of the stb lol that realy sux since its a registered trademark and all prolly couldnt do the mitsu simbol dunno bout the galant not like that can be trademarked but it probably is...as for the polished by that do u mean chrome? i dont like it just me im sure a lot of u do i just dont it would have to be a hella tight one for me to get a chromey

I was thinking, you can get the diamond star, Galant name, or "MITSUBISHI" name etched on later at a local machine shop. That way we could get around the trademark sanctions. But I think we could get something like the japanese characters for mitsubishi produced on the bar, if any on you have seen and like that idea, with any legal problems. But I would be in for a nice looking STB like the one pictured above, in the same finish....so just incase I wanted to get in powdercoated later, in would be easy to do.
ya im definately down for that finish and the appearence
