Fuel Pump Question
Would it be neccesary to do the fuel pump re-wire mod when I install the Walbro pump? Would there be any advantages to doing the re-wire?
Thanks for any help!

you pretty much have to do the re-wire. even if you have a stock pump, do the rewire. it isn't an "advantage" but a neccesity since the stock fuel pump wiring isn't a thick enough gauge to carry enough power. it's not hard, takes 30 minutes and is required if you actually need the 190 for whatever FI you're going

Thanks Peano. VFAQ has a tutorial for the 2g FWD; I am assuming that it's the same procedure for the 7g??? http://www.raktron.com/fuel/rewire1.html

yeah, thats the exact same one i used. if you understand relays it'll all make perfect sense. i recomend buying the most powerfull relay you can find, since this is your fuel pump we're talking about, and you don't want some radio shack piece of shit being the only thing driving the power for the fuel. i have a brumfield/potter 40amp on mine
