HELP!!! Need this part! Car won't start!

Car died while going 30mph, all dash lights came on. Tried to pop start, didn't work. Changed spark plugs, checked timing belt, alternator, battery. No go. Was told I need a ignition module. Found this part at a wholesaler's website, not available for ind. Mitsubishi doesn't sell this part separate from the distributor (which is $500 at the least). Any ideas?
