    5sp and auto differences?

    with the transmission out of car, any noticable differences? or is there a serial number that would indicate a 5sp or auto?

    Nope they are exactly the same, no differences at all....

    Of course there are differences. You should be able to tell an auto from a 5spd as the 5spd has 2 shifter arms, auto only has one. Auto if beefier as well. I have a pic of an auto and 5spd next to each other. I will post when I get home from work...

    auto also has nipples for transmission fluid lines to the cooler

    everything for a 2g (tranny wise) fits perfectly on a 7G. the axles i'm not 100% sure about, but everything else fits fine. are you looking to swap or something?
