ok i am looking at turbo parts not sure yet
but i see exhaust manifolds for 2gen eclipse/ talons/dohc galant 2.0L
i am thinking this is from the 4G63T models
but there is auto and there is manual which do i want

ummmm... i think those dudes are retarded... the only difference between the auto and manual 4g63's should be the turbo's but that's it.... i think. I am 99% sure that the auto and manual ex. mani's should be the same, but don't quote me on that though. good luck man
when is we gon be free????
get a 2g manifold
They're exactly the same. Just don't get a 1G manifold.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(brandon)</div><div class='quotemain'>They're exactly the same. Just don't get a 1G manifold.</div>
Is the reason because the 1g tends to crack?
actually 1st gen manifolds are different. the auto manifolds have a much smaller turbo port and it is offset from center. not a good match for any other turbo than the 13g.
1st gen manifolds are in fact prone to cracking. they have a lower knickel content in there casting and the crack easily because of it. also they do not flow as well as the superior 2nd gen design.
2nd gen manifolds are identical (between auto and manual) however.
if you are mounting this turbo manifold on a 4g64, you will want to spend a little extra and get a ported 2nd gen or a evo 3 manifold because they will flow much better and eliminate huge flow restrictions to the 2.4l (going from a tubular exhast manifold design to small ports and turrbine inlets is going to create mad restrictions, especially since this manifold was designed for the flow of a 2 liter) not to mention the stock casting is restricive on the 2 liter
btw especially when using undersized turbo's on your 4g64 like a 14b or t-25, it is a really good idea to get the turbine housing ported to flow better. this will allow your turbo to hold boost higher into the powerband without falling off. In turn it will give you more midrange and top end power. it really doesn't coswt much to do

lasthopeskrispy: so i was fucking this guy in the ass over the weekend and you know what he decides to do....he reaches around and cups my balls. I was like hey what a fag!

Didn't know that... either way any 1G or 2G turbo manifold will bolt up to the '64.

it made hooking up my 13g a little interesting. since the turbo port is offset to the driver side, you have to get a different gasket. i guess there's a 1cm bottleneck where the manifold bolts up to the turbo
Get the first gen 5 speed manifold b/c the 14b will bolt right up.

damn dude i feel like an idiot  I didn't even see that it was a 1g ex. mani... still didn't know that they wee different sizes though

14b will also bolt right up to a 2G manifold, auto or manual.
