    Wastegate spring question

The wastegate spring dictates the max boost level correct? Basicly a spring set to 1 bar, will only go up to 15psi.

From there a MBC will be required to lower the boost right?

    Just checking.

    Thanks.

there is no way to lower boost with a mbc
your wastegate spring pressure would be your lowest boost period.

unless of course your turbo can't move the air to keep up with the base setting.

it would be in your favor to start with the spring rate for the lowest psi you plan to run, then use your mbc to raise it to your desired level.
if you plan on peaking at 8psi, then get a .4 bar spring and use the mbc to bleed off the extra pressure to get your 8.
or, to be totally precise. just buy the spring for the pressure you want. that way you never ever will over boost.
    springs aren't that much anyways.
and down the road you can combine your low boost spring with a high boost springh to get a higher desired pressure.

Ahhh ok, exact opposite of what I was thinking. Alright so I'm just going to buy the .4bar (5.6psi) "springed" Tial.

Hell ya! Man I literally only need to get the piping done at this point.

sweeeet, good call. i was going to suggest the same: run the lowest boost possible and get a cheap $50 mbc or build your own for pennies
