    Gas Mileage

I just got 270 miles on 89 octane in my G, 180 miles at the halfway point with all highway driving then the next 90 from city driving brought me to empty. This sound right?

    damn bro, that sucks... lol

I recently went on a trip back home to MS from tallahassee (363miles) and got, on a full tank of 89, about 340+miles to one tank... I didn't get above 80mph and stayed right between 74-78mph...

daily driving though... I probably average 260miles per tank around the city... taht is, on my good days w/ very light traffic...

340??? damn, i always wonder how you guys do it,

the most i have gotten was 350, which was like, 98% highway driving, and i usually average around 230 with half/half city/highway

On my V6 Most I got was 400 miles on 14 gallons, this was right after changing my spark plugs, wires, oil, and air filter. All highway miles. I think I filled up in Leawood Kansas and then filled up again at the Mississippi river before entering Illinois from Iowa. Now I typically get 310-320 miles and add 14 gal (when the light comes on)

    As a side question,
anybody knows how many miles we have left as soon as the yellow "gas needed" light starts to light up?

Highway driving gives you more mileage. I get about 200 miles on a full tank driving in the city. When I going down south I get around 450 miles and a full tank.

I usually put in 14-14.5 gals when my light is on, I think we have a 16.3 gal tank.....or something like that.

i sat in traffic for about an hour with the gas light on. didn't go anywhere really.

but with that said. you don't want to worry about how many miles you have left. you should worry about getting gas.

i don't know about you, but if my gas light comes on, i'd rather pull into the nearest gas station and put a few gallons of gas than run out of gas on the way to the next gas station and have to walk my ass there to get gas to put in the car.

With that said, youve got about 1-2 gallons left when the light goes on, so that means get your a$$ to some gas!

Yeah, sometimes the closest gas station is not so close, that is why I asked.

I've driven about 30 miles with my gas light on. When my light is on, and I full my tank, it takes 12 gallons, so when the light is on there is about 4 gallons left.
