You need 4 plugs. One for each cylinder. You may want to invest in a good manual for the car to help you do the simple maintenance. Check out your local library if you don't want to buy one.
2 of the plugs are obvious and two of the plus are underneath some coil packs (not as obvious). I've heard some on the board talk about Iridium Plugs... but I'd get NGK's since it's a Japanese engine. Make sure you get the right heat range plugs.
You need a rachet set (with spark plug socket) to change the plugs and an extension.
You may want to buy wires as you have a 99 Changing them one at a time will prevent you from getting them mixed up. You can probably get something from a local auto store or a dealer.
Again, I'd probably invest in a decent manual for the car if your not very experienced in general tune ups on cars...
