Could it be my fuel pump?

Here I am again takin another day off from work due to my car stalling on me again. I was driving down queens blvd. today and all of a sudden my car turns off. So I put it on neutral and tried to start it while in motion but no luck, so I pulled over while i had the chance. I figured it probably sucked some water through the CAI Filter from a puddle ..... so I tried to turn it on while hitting the accelerator but i notice no action, not even a hesitation. Usually i would atleast smell gasoline from all that pumping the accelerator I was doing. But no gasoline odor at all. I opened up the throttle and cleaned it out but no luck at all. So I had my car towed to a local Mobil Station. I will go out there first thing tomorrow morning and have a diagnostic test first and find out what they tell me.... This really sucks.... nice way to start of the year.

Nope It wasnt the fuel pump. It was the timing belt. I will be getting the whole 9 yard done. Includes the water pump, the timing belt, balancing belt, 16 valves if needed, the seals, and any worn motor mount. I cant wait to see the results when they finish.

Now the engine feels stronger and quieter. The only problem was that the freakin mechanic told me that the motor mounts were still good. So he didnt change any. So now i am dealing with a harsh vibration when i get to a stop light or put my car on reverse. So Tomorrow I will go to the dealer and get all four mounts and change them all first thing in the morning. I will not rest till all this is resolved. Talk about a rough start to the year. Job unstable, lost a love one, marital problems and car problems all at once. And Still I believe its gonna be a good year for me. DETERMINATION

Ya, Galants dont usually stall out like that while driving and the TB and or BS belt is the only culprit. Tip is if you smart and know what it is at the time you wont try to key turning over the engine, making sure not to bend any more valves.

Not how fast your car goes but how good u drive going fast.

Finally, The car feels great now. I took it to Star Mitsubishi in Queens Village, NY and had my motor mounts installed and they also changed the Transmission Fluid Cable (Recall). My Galant is Reborn.
