    DOHCSTUNR is also right. most pads these day do not produce the same amount of gasses that slots were originally designed for. but where you are going to find them useful is when you get into racing applications that are using ceramic pads and the like. you'll get much greater heat build up.....possibly warped rotors from excessive braking or long periods of braking (as in coming down a long mountain road).....but for a the time being.....you'll have awesome braking. </div>

    ok look man no ones readin to hard or anthing this is startin to sound silly as hell.

    no matter what process the slotted or crossdrilled rotors and pads go through regardless if its gases,friction,rubbin, touchin, kissin or wutever, at the end THEY ALL COOL THE ROTOR. what is the big deal, everbody has stated it.
