ball joint or control arm?

my car is still making funky noises on the driver side wheel well. at first everyone i talked to ppl that said that it was my shocks where gonna blow out so i replaced them wit kyb gr-2s and yet they still make noise but fewer than b4. when ever i tap the gas, theres a poping sound on the driver side. o yea wen im on the expressway over 60 the noise is constant and it sounds like my wheel is gonna come off. can some1 help me figure out whats up w/ my car? thanx

my uncle who sold me this car did the recall already and the guy at the dealer said that if i want he could check it 4 $50 and repairs if needed.

Just out of curiosity, is it like 2-5 "pop"s when you take off or come to a stop? I only ask because that's what mine does..and I've concluded that it's the sway bar bushings. I've just been too lazy to change them out. Just a thought.
