17" in front, 18" in back, does anyone have this s

Well I got a good deal on a pair of 18X7.5 Konig Imagines, but instead of buying two more 18"s I'm thinking of buying 2 17"s to give my car more aggressive stance. Does anyone have this setup? Or can someone show pictures? Plus will I have any problems with my suspension? and can someone suggest some tires?

if you lower the car and have the front wheels have the same size, if not thinner sidewall than the rears then i think it would be ok. but if you're gonna keep that 4x4 stance, just leave things the way they are.

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.

and just remember, KONIG is a very soft wheel to begin with, so protect that outer ring and get a nice stiff sidewall to protect from the potholes n' stuff

For the setup you are talking about it would be beneficial for a FWD configured car for Drag Racing since there is less wheel to rotate. Now..with that setup with 17' on the front and 18's in the rear could/will affect your handling. I have yet to see "circut track" cars using different diameter size wheels. For daily driving I guess it isn't a big deal until real world situations like avoiding debris on the road, wet roads, etc etc could be compromised.

Sure as long as you run tires that are close in size, for example.

    225/45-17s front
    225/40-18s rear

Companies that make tires made in both sizes are as follows:

Toyo, BF Goodrich, Michelin, Kumho, Goodyear, etc etc...

There are a few other options as far as sizing goes, but the two listed would be your best option.

So it depends on what kind of tires I buy, get a thicker side wall for the 18"s and thinner for the 17"s.

Pinoyesv6 can you explain your setup a bit more? I've seen in another thread were you had 15"s and 16"s on your car

You can forget about rotating them if you do decide to do this.

IMO... I wouldnt do it because you cant rotate your tires.... And not being able to rotate your tires isnt a good thing since im pretty sure the tires that fit those larger than factory rims arent cheap... But like i said thats IMO.

EDIT: SORRY AVERAGE.. I DIDNT MEAN TO JACK YOUR INPUT.

Thinner for the 18s thicker for the 17s.

Just use the sizes I listed for tires.

You know what I didnt even think about the fact that I will have to rotate my tires. Well I can forget this idea.

    Thanks for your replies.

This works well if you own a Dodge Viper...otherwise, it'll just look bad and not have any function.

i have 19's on rear and 18's on front of my integ, but its just for looks. also 19 on a front wheels drive doesnt really help the engine of the car. considering the offsets the galant restricts, staggering the wheel sizes 17/18 isnt that beneficial, considering that 17 tires arent that much cheaper than 18's. when you jump to 19's is where they get pricey. if i were you just stick with 18 all the way around. my mom has 18 imagines on her accord and she likes them.

i thought they only did that to RWD.. i think u should just go 18 or 17 all around.. cuz theres no function...... but watever its ur car man.

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

You can still rotate your tires. The overall size of the tire and wheel combo is about the same. It would be easier to just buy two more 18s, but running two 17s and two 18s is rather cool idea if you ask me.
