its possible. chromey had a HID kit in his lights. it should work as long as the bulbs physically fit inside of the housing.
Is it possible to use a HID kit in the Hella 2500 Optilux Fog Lights? Has anyone done this? If so, how much trouble is it, and where did you mount the ballasts, etc? I've got a 8000K kit in the headlights, eventually going to retrofit those and have 6000K in the headlights. And I wanted to put a 12000K kit in the fog lights.

I had hids in my hellas... Now they are gone. But anyway the ballast was mounted behind the bumper. Very easy to do and never had any problems in the rain or snow.

You gotta make sure you get the correct bulb size.. but also remember that HID bulbs are alittle longer than regular bulbs so take that into consideration
