here's the first pics. I'm going to clean up the wireing and put on some fancier looking Gates Racing clamps at some point soon. Tomorrow I'm going to flush out the radiator fluid and replace it with blue BMW fluid. aw yeah.
More pics to come...
If I inspire you to get one, please tell them I sent you. I don't know if you'll get anything for doing so, but it couldn't hurt my standing with them. :P

It's Pyrex. You could literally bake with it.
Looks like they're getting their website back together. Check out the torture test videos if they're up.

I dont know how you get rice out of that, but to each his own i suppose. I've never seen anything like that, myself, and i think it is a great and unique way to dress up your engine bay.
It is kinda rice, but kind cool in a sense, it certainly would help keep tabs on coolent condition. Not something I'd spend money on but hey, I wont make fun of anyone for it.

OK, I'll bite. What makes it rice any more than any other dress up item? Why aren't you claiming rice on my painting the woodgrain interior post? Same thing in my view. Now if this was the first and last thing I did under the hood, I'd say your rice calling would be justified. But it's neither.Originally Posted by DOHCstunr

Anyway, I don't think you can call something rice if it isn't visible while driving.
im sorry but i really LOLed too when i saw this.
this is like getting clear rims or clear hood, and then putting LEDs behind it. or putting a fishtank in the car and then adding LEDs to it. or if your taillights get flooded wtih water, and then you add LEDs to that! now, isnt that rice to you too?
try squeezing the tube more to get the air bubble out. *chuckles*
I dont really like it but im not going to hate. Do whatever you like. However, the air bubble is a legit serious problem. If that air bubble makes it up into the cylinder head, you can overheat a cylinder and blow the motor. Any air space in the cooling system is damn near suicide, especially if the car is turbo.

it looks cool.
the air bubble is defintely a problem.
and about the bmw coolant. is it compatible with our cars? manufacturers don't color coolant to make them look pretty. they do it more so because of the different chemical makeup between coolants.
