Ok please correct me if i'm wrong, you're saying that you have a 7g with a 4g64 SOHC that's carbureted and you want to do the DOHC swap but retain the use of your carburetor?
Hey
Has anyone heard/done a 4g63 DOHC with a Carb
My 7g has a 4g93 carby (gutless) and want to upgrade, but don't want the hassle of rewireing the car for new fuel pumps and computers
cheers

Oh god you americans are just so oblivious to overseas models. NEWS FLASH Galants were made in Japan long before the US!
It's most likely a base model E52A GE or GF which has the 4G93 SOHC 16V engine with an electro-feedback carburettor.
Here's a link to the specs :- http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/mi.../1992_5/16207/
I can't seem to find any pics on Google but it looks just like your normal SOHC 4G93 except it has a carburettor instead of EFI.
well right now this is the best i can find. It's the same engine just dual over head cam.
Huh? Isnt that a Honda motor?
7g for life!
Well unless the site is wrong it said it was a 1.8l 4g93 i dont know im tryin to find another pic
I found this but im not sure if its it as i cant see if its carburated i found that on wikimedia.org
that is not a 4g93, just look at the oil filter, nah
Ya well i have found some pics of a 4g93 but there all full injected. And all motors that anybody is selling are all fuel injected and they all look similer to a 4g64. I tried but im done looking for tonight id like to see whut it looks like
The first picture you posted is of a Honda motor haha.Originally Posted by bmxmike
The 4g93 was in the 4g Mirages in the states, but it wasnt a carb. Pretty sure some overseas Lancer GSRs have a DOHC 4g93, or maybe the pictures I saw was a swap.
US 4g93 4g Mirage:
Pretty sure theres two versions of the 4g93, just one is horizontal opposed compared to the other. 4g Mirage vs 5g Mirage here in the states.

My friend has a 4g93 1.8l twin cam turbo, does the job pretty well in his lancer
