    about the intrepid and impala

    i understand the police version are equipped with police pak (which must be some kind of turbo with better ecu and combustion or whatever ) but are there difference in the suspension and handling parts as well??

    Yes the engines are tweaked a little bit but cop cars don't run turbos, and yes there are also suspension upgrades done.

    Actually, believe it or not...police cars are actually stock. Except for maybe some suspension tweaks. Their engines are bone stock. Ill find the site of the magazine i read that did a comparison test of the new Charger, Impala, and Crown Vic.

    Dont worry. I was under the same impression too until i picked up a magazine and read it. I believe it was the March or April "Car and Driver". THey also threw out the myth that Crown Vics come equipped with the LS1 or LS2 engines.

    :shock: but thats kinda of funny, cops running stock engines anyone know how many hours of road training they have, cauz we all know its the driver not the car

    anyway we have a new police car here where i live....

    Well the Crown Vic come with a V8 pushin 224hp and 275lbs.-ft. of torque. And remember, you can never outrun the radio.

    everything comes pretty much heavy duty but I checked out the fleet sites of each
