    awd conversion and s.c. question

have any of you succesfully performed or know of anyone who succesfully had a a.w.d. conversion performed on there 8th gen galant? if so were there any technical problems that had to be fixed such as new computer or anything with speedometer and such? i was thinking of doing one after i have the money saved up for the norcal widebody, and the evo hood... would you guys think doing the supercharger first or the awd conversion first is better? any of your opinions are apreciated.

I'll play the bad guy and bust your bubble now. It will take several thousands of dollars if not tens of thousands to convert to AWD just drop the ton of money on importing a VR4 and have the conversion from right to left. You will never get the car to drive properly or get everything together for it. Since there are no U.S. Galants with AWD standard the amound of frame, body, engine, and transmission work involved makes it near impossible. Anything can be done with enough money.

But, I have been wrong before...

u ever built a car b4>? thats how its gonna feel like doing an awd swap. my suggestion, buy a second car first b4 u do the swap cuz that thing is gonna take forever to do. and lots of money. if u really love ur car, go ahead and do it. but my suggestion is to just buy another car with awd and just have fun with that. i mean chances are ur not gonna do it yourself and chances are ur not gonna know someone who's gonna know how to do it exactly. you gotta play it as it goes along.

i figured it would cost a hell of alot of money but i was curious to how hard it would be to do( i have the idea now ) ide be better off taking the money for a awd converion and buying something like a gsx if i was set into doing it. im gonna research it a little more. if i find a shop that has done this type of modification before and they have a healthy rep. maybe i will sell my suv.

We all know anything can be done with even dough, but damn this would be one of those times when u just throw that out the window.. LIke Pinoy said its like building a car from the ground up..
