Thinking of a tranny swap

Hey, this might be a stupid question. I have an 06 galant es and I have been saving my hard earned dollars in hopes to turbo it from RRE. Right now with my few mods I like my cars peformance and I kill any scion tc's out there and most 4 cyl cars except for turbos. But my prob is once I get into 4th i'm done and others aren't. So I like my auto tranny and was thinking if anyone knows if the 5spd auto from the v6 9g galants will fit the 4cyl.

There is a special edition Lancer with the same engine and I believe it is 5spd. I forgot what it was called maybe Lancer Ralliart not sure, but the tranny fits.

It might fit but your PCM wouldn't know what to do with the extra gear.

Thanks for the info, I will look for that lancer and that convertible looks real nice. Is there a way to get around the pcm issue. Ps. I am a new galant owner since last year but since I got it and have driven a few models like the vr4 and the 9g v6 model I have loved them, it' s a step up from my 02 cavalier, and 98 civic which are no longer around.

You would be WAY, WAY ahead to mearly sell yours and buy a galant ralliart.
