I doubt a lot of those claims of puting down over 140hp in your stock/slightly modified 7g Galants...
I'll believe it when i see dyno sheets from a mustang dyno or a dynojet dyno...
lol, thats when you take it to see me at the aamco dealer.Originally Posted by kolio
Yeah, they rev high, but the idiots around here can't drive. Because of that, if you do anything other than a pretty straight line, you win. They slow down to like 20-30 for evry turn.

don't worry, i will dyno it ( once my exhaust is done ) just as a baseline because i am going turbo
i'm not saying i'm gonna reach 180 but 160 might happen or close to it
fidanza aluminum flywheel 8 lbs
high flow exhaust
light weight rims ( they are lighter than the O.Z. eddition 2G rally wheels)
and i got unorthodox pulleys

but mine isnt really "lightly modded" i have done a good bit. not to mention, the used head i bought and installed has a nice set of cams on it
and i dont list this on my garage, but i got my flywheel machined to be lighter
and i only have the alternator belt on at the moment, no a/c or p/s
i was going to ask whether you were talking about a 94GS DOHC, and maybe, just maybe that would have been possible. But seriously, theres no way a stock sohc galant will all the bolt ons in the world would put down those numbers. Ive seen videos of Kolio's pulls on his G and i believe he puts down over 155hp. As for the rest, some vids or accurate dyno's will have to be produced.
Edit: kolio i think you should also swap your head for a dohc. 8)
7G SOHC 5SPD
don't worry i got some serious plans for it. i've been shoping for alot of parts :DOriginally Posted by Diamndsr4eva

i already have my dohc head, just not on the car.
still havent found a ecu locally so im on hold...
Edit: BTW, i have some dyno time scheduled on a local mustang dyno. I know the guy, so free time for me!!!
On a dynojet I put down 116hp and 132 tq to the wheels with only a CAI. Makes it hard for me to believe someone who says they think they can put down over 140whp with I/H/E or other basic mods.
yeah, just intake and exhaust mods will not get you near 160 or 180.Originally Posted by laxinwarrior
with some more in depth things like cams, flywheels, underdrives, etc you can probably get 160 though
ya i got like half of that shit
FYI 2600 lb clutch and 8lb flywheel suck in traffic!
other than that worth the $500
