    stripped bolt

    any body no how to get off a stripped bolt...ii took my stock shifter and cut it to make it even shorter and now i have the b&m replica short shifter and when i went to go swap shifters the bolt wont come offf....neeed help

    there are special sockets that you use with your ratchet to get stripped bolts off.

    yea you can pick up the "bolt out" kit at home depot or sears etc usually the small set is like $9.99 hopefully it will hav the size you need btw they arent like typical sockets they are labeled #1 #2 etc and they work with both metric and standard bolts....or you can also dremel or saw a straight line into the head of the bolt deep enough to get a flathead screwdriver intothe space and try that as well

    Go to Sears and get a bolt extractor kit, it cost a lil bit over 25 bux but its well worth it. It comes in a Red case.

    ok here is the deal....i bought the bad bolt remover kit..found out they are not stripped they turn but do not go anywhere....they just stay there i threw some WD40 on them and they still dont move...its to the point where the shfter when in gear and loose..i need help ASAP!!!!

    ok, well if you can get a nice flathead up under the bolt/screw you can give it enuff push so it may catch the threads and start to pull out. Hard to explain but if it was me i know how i would do it.
