    hp at the wheel calculator???

    well i was looking at some hp calculator...and ive seen some gtz guys with 15 second 1/4 mile times......and the calclator averages the weight and 1/4 mile time to see how much wheel hp we have..... http://www.paautoracing.com/hp_calc.htm i put that our weight is 3300 pounds and the 1/4 mile time is 15 seconds.....well supposedly we have 193hp at the wheel......but did u guys dyno at 150+ at the wheel....is this thing wrong????

    Make sure you calculate the weight of the driver including the weight of the vehicle. That might be part of the problem. It's probably calculating BHP. For example, the GTZ weighs 3263. I weigh 237, so thats 3500. I ran a 15.250. According to the calculator I have 195.03 HP. That ain't at the wheels. ....I wish.

    Also for a quick and dirty way to calculate HP at the wheels for our 8gs just take the manufacturer rated power and multiply it by 22% to 30% which is the average powerloss for our car. Mine averaged out at about 27% after driving, 22% cold. From the calculator you provided I came in at 149 hp, which is pretty darn close to my 147 from the dyno.

    i Did mine and it says i have 308hp to the wheels, sounds about right..
