    4g63 or 4g64?

Ok so i have been planning for a long time to just make a 64 bottom end and use the 63 head. Well my friend is willing to sell me his whole gst motor for $100 with no trans. I had told him about the head swap and letting me snag some parts and he said i could take the whole engine so now it's got me thinking into the swap...It is the 7 bolt though not a 6...didn't know if it would be worth it to build up the 63 and drop it in or just build up the 64? Any input

Go with the 64 hybrid. The 64 handles the cranlwalk better than 63, cuz it has several mm higher block which takes less balancing. Also depends on how much power you wanna make - its more likely to get a crankwalk at 350hp +
God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

Thats what i was thinking is just getting the stuff off to get ready for the head swap go to junkyard get me a Turbo ecu and then wait to do it till i find me a turbo and do it all at once. Then just sell the block

I say buy the block off him and resell the parts you don't need. You would make a pretty decent profit off it.

The only reason the 4g64 handles crankwalk better than the 2g 7 bolt is because of the oil jet design. The blocks are identical besides the 6mm taller deck and 1.5mm larger bore. The 4g63 is a better choice for longgevity also. You have a better rod stroke ratio with the 88mm stroke. I say use the 7 bolt block the jets off and and do some arp rod bolts. I you really want the piston jets take the block to a mechine shop and have the drill and tap the main oil gallory and use 1g squirters.
