Depends ... The redtops are just 6bolts like the 90-early 92 USDM 4g63ts. There was a version of the 6gVR4 in JDM land that had a big 16g and a set of 510cc injectors instead of the normal 14b and 450cc injectors. late 92-94 4g63ts were 7bolt. 95-99 4g63ts are a different design 7bolt and are prone to crankwalk.

Any 6bolt, whether it be USDM or JDM, they are mostly the same. IMO I would get a used 6bolt and do a rebuild. Or get a 6bolt 2.4L block, rebuilt it, 63t DOHC head, and do a hybrid.

sweet. after reading this post, it is official that the motor i have in my 90 GSX is a GALANT JDM motor weeeeeee. I'm still a galant lover even though i drive a dsm.
