im not sure how it is on the 9g's or on the 3g eclipse so i could be pulling this out of my ass but yea, I know on many cars that use the h1 bulb (the bulb in the fogs you speak of) there's an adapter that goes in between the bulb and the connector.
Anyone install some aftermarket fog lights and cut off the stock fog light connectors? I could really use those connectors/plugs.
From what I've gathered, the same fogs are used on the 2003-2004 Eclipse and a friend of mine is converting the front end of his 2000 Eclipse to the newer style. The fog lights are different as are the connectors. I bought a set online, but when I got them, they didn't fit. I tried a few other places, and they keep telling me the same part#, but they are wrong. I think they are the connectors for the 2000-2002 Eclipse. I know for sure the connectors they are telling me are the ones are for the Stratus coupe fog lights. So, if you have them, let me know. Or if you happen to know the part# for them.

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.
Yeah, the H1 bulb goes into a socket that makes it look like a 9006 bulb. I need the connectors that go into the other end of that socket. I would have thought a connector for a 9006 bulb would work, but from the pictures I've seen, it doesn't appear to be an exact match due to a little tab like piece inside the socket. Mitsubishi has to make things difficult don't they?
ill trade you my fog light connectors, for some jdm ones.
if the connector is a 9006 or 9005 kind.....then buy a cheap 9006/5 bulb, break the bulb and solder the fog lamp wire onto it and connect to the stock harness.
but first can you confirm a 9006/5 male will fit into the stock harness?
***edit nvm you are looking for the female end.

JDM front covension Old style vr4,18"axis black seven mod, clifford alarm, egr rear window visor, kenwood unit 7"screen DVD,two tones paint job,3G strut bar , HID's.
Yeah, and my friend wants to do that eventually, but for some reason still wants to hook up the fog lights the right way for now.
Here is what the bulb and socket looks like:
Here is what a 9006 plug looks like:
If you look into the socket, in the middle, there is a tab. The 9006 plug has a slit in it for that tab, but it doesn't look big enough and looks to be on the opposite side that it needs to be on.
get it from here: http://www.racinglab.com/heavdutwirha.html
Thanks, but after some more searching, I'm positive that a 9006 plug won't work. H11 and 886 plugs look like they would work as far as shape and design, but not sure if they are the right size. The site you posted doesn't sell either one of those though. I'll have to check Autozone to see if they have any.
the link i posted was for the stock harness of the 9G fogs.
according to the sylvania replacement guide they are 9154/H10 for the 07 and 08
H1 for the 06 and older.
