Eh, if it's like any other Volvo, it can take redline, full throttle launches all day long and just keep smiling. Depends on how grippy the stock clutch is, though. I'm positive the axles and gearbox will cope, though.

Yeah, the black mesh would be a good choice. I feel your pain about the driveway thing... Utah is a bitch cause they put ditches everywhere to help with the spring floods.

It was really funny though, everyone else was bogging the shit out of them, here I come whambambambambam, then the whole car shook extremly violently spun and left, I hit 2nd going into a corner and almost lost it, then flung it back into the next corner in the opposite direction, the first 500 ish ft of the course all 4 tires where spinning. When I pulled back around after the run some hoity toity sales guy was like "You can't do that are you insane." I said "I just did, and yes."

Oh well everyone else though it was cool.

Yea it can take a little more than redline. I've been getting on it a lot more lately, I actually thought to myself today I should stop getting on her so much, but I noticed that if I keep doing it, more towards the end of the day she'll feel like shes running stronger and getting up in boost quicker.

Nice! These do tend to bog somewhat easily, always gotta be up in the RPMs.
I have yet to get all 4 spinning.. But I have taken DSTC off completely and it spins a lot eaiser. Maybe all four were spinning and I just didnt realize..

For a minute I thought this was Random Thoughts, lol. I'm half awake.

Well, it wasnt my car, and they where letting us drive them on course so I took it as my full responsability to drive the ever living piss out of one. It was epic. The clutch didnt quite hit as hard as it does on the STI I've noticed.

Eh, it's a car forum. What do people expect? Us to not talk about the cars that are posted here?

At first I wasnt too fond of the clutch. Felt too springy but I got used to it. I was tempted to go to a Subaru or Mistu dealer and test drive a STI or an EVO, just to feel the difference.

looks like you just need to pull off the grill and set it correctly, i see that you missed the lip the bottom of the grill is supposed to go into (at least if its oem jdm) when you pull off the grill you will see what im talking about if you dont know what i mean there is a lip that slides underneath the lip on the top of the bumper

it will also pull the bumper up a little rather then pushing it down and should close the gap near the heads

You just need a sprung 6-puck clutch. <3 for my streetable race clutch. It's like an on-off switch, but not after you get used to it.

I is sowwy, I am not good with names, I remembered C and R and made up a name and hoped that was right, I have to remember that now.

The difference in the clutch that I'm talking about is more of the initial bite, it slips a little it seems under a really hard launch. Especially compared to an STI, the '06 will just about rip your head off.

All good. I'm surprised you remembered C and R!

But I gotcha, I agree. Another thing is the throttle response changes at times, and i'll be in the same "mode". One minute it'll be on point, the next it's a bit delayed. Annoys me. Maybe it's just turbo lag..

That and it wont stay in Race mode after you shut it off. Personally I'd just have it locked in there.

I wish I had multiple "modes" for my car... it's always just locked in "nearly unbearable to drive, unstreetable, race mode." lol Good for getting groceries and whatnot.
