Could have sworn Greg (PharmEcis) was the one who said the stock heads flow fairly well. I dunno, pretty much everybody on Club3G contradicts themselves. Greg is a cool guy, though. Knows his stuff very well, but he has his lapses.

Machining work didn't get completed today. Just took a second look at my spare 3 pistons and found that one of them had a slightly smashed top ring land (you can tell if the top ring can't slide around freely). Another has some really bad scuffing on one side, so that leaves only 1 that I want to use in this new build. I just hope the other 3 pistons in the rear are still OK. I haven't had a chance to look at them yet.
I've been contemplating turbos and I think I've settled on a T3/60-1 0.82 A/R with a 5-bolt turbine housing. Should be good for 600 WHP and will be a good budget turbo for my first turbo setup.

You many wonder why I chose Fel-Pro gaskets for almost everything, and the reason is that most of what they sell for my engine is identical to OEM if not better. This isn't the case for some domestic and other foreign applications.

tim thanks for the info as always and again, i cant wait to see your progress. are you going to be using your stock fans for your new rad? still wondering if i need to get a newer assy or just a fal slim fan.
Well Greg (PharmEcis) has told me several times on the phone that the exhaust ports suck, and thats why power drops off as suddenly as it does, the cam is not quite as bad as some think, but it still doesnt flow well up top. So I will see what the p&p does with the headers, or maybe I should wait, or I probably dont have the self restraint to wait.

Somebody already told me I shouldn't bother with another thread for my turbo build, so I'll post everything here as I piece it together.
X-tech hotside piping:
T3 inlet flange with 38 mm wastegate flange:
Will need to be highly modified eventually, but it'll work for now for my power goals. It's still a lot better than some cars' stock piping.
Huge frickin' intercooler:

Yes, I plan to make it fit. Remember, I need something that's gonna be efficient for my power goals. Throw my current methanol injection system on top of that and I'll be good for at LEAST 800 WHP.
Not bad TJ. But when you do go to upgrade, v-band clamps, that's all I have to say. I won't use anything else on my next setup.

This is all preliminary right now. T3/60-1 turbo is an absolute POS compared to what I'm used to spending on this car performance-wise. Going cheap now, will improve the setup if I like what I'm seeing.
Okay, somebody just asked me for the dimensions on the intercooler. The core is approximately 23 in x 11.5 in x 3 in. Pretty freakin' big.

mine i had to shave the hell out of the bottom part of the bumper thats why i ended up getting the mugen lip because the very bottom was really thin and it didnt look right so the lip covered it up
do you plan to stay with the stock bumper?

Yeah I'm sticking with the stock bumper. This IC is going to barely fit behind it. Real close.
We've got a few 700+ WHP Civics here... I'm not interested in beating any of them lol. Taking a 2500 lb car, stripping it, and then slapping a huge turbo on it just doesn't impress me too much. Still a Civic, still ugly, not impressive ;)
Yeah, I just think it would be funny for an out of towner with a galant to do what so many F-body's in our area have tried. The guy who owns it is one of the most knowladgable people and one of the nicest guys I know. I will try and find a video of him racing a mustang with a 76 mm single turbo.
