altenator problem

I had a problem with the altenator,it was doing some strange things, like the dash lights begin to go on and off, also the headlights, and the batt light in the dash went on and off.
Took the altenator off the, changed the brushes, put it back and it was alright.
Now the batt doesn't charge,and the batt light in the dash doesn't go on when i switch the car.
One of you guys know what can cause this?

altornator ,to make sure start the car while the car idle take off the NEG cable if the engine cut off u have bad alt or u can bring it to autozone and get them test it

You changed the brushes? I didn't know that alternators are servicable, hmmm... But yeah, get your alternator checked out, it may have been more than just the brushes.
