to All Of you what is the best 7G Engine that was made because i was looking around and i see that this guy was saying that the DOHC in the 1994 is the fast engine and that it push out about 160 HP

1996 galant s
finishing up my 2.4L DOHC, 10.5:1, precision sc60, meth injected MONSTER.
the only engines ever made were the following ( in the USA)
4g64 SOHC- 141 hp
4g64 DOHC- 160 hp
somebody once built a N/A sohc 4g64 and ran 13 sec 1/4 mile time
the popular thing to do and my opinion is to use the 4g64 block and the 4g63 head(eclipse turbo) and turbo it
one member here (microgalant) with built internals standalone and turbo is pushing 358hp and 408tq to the wheels!

4g64 built...more after market love than a 6a12tt
8g tranny is being rebuilt and waiting on ground control coilovers
7g is just sitting motor and tranny is out(need to finish, just lazy)
6g (vr4) motor is out getting the good stuff like a gt4088 and some more stupid stuff.
Nice to be back!!!!
so if i got the 4g64 DOHC head and put it on my 96 s block would i get like 160 hp still
4g64 dohc
now i was thinking about this to day and i was saying im going 2 look for a 2g turbo motor now i want to know from y'all is this dump or what?
noway 2g engine, go with a 1g 6 bolts,or a 4g64 with dohc head.
