With what I've understood, if you're driving a fwd car properly, usually the fwd car has a faster entrance than rwd due to because fwd cars can left foot brake through a corner.

Although, rwd are faster at the exit because of the push force from the rear wheels instead of the pull force that fwd has.

not to mention if a front wheel drive car has anything over 300whp trying to catch traction trying to exit a corner would be difficult. IMO AWD and FR owns at the track.

but dont forget about FF cuz some FF cars can actually hold their own.

Huh? Why cant a rwd car left foot brake? And why would you want to left foot brake? If your are driving a 5spd, you should be heal toeing the downshift and trail brake into the corner and be on the gas by the apex.

You are right about higher hp fwd cars on exits of the corner. Whenever merging onto the freeway with my old ~250whp Galant going wot in third at ~50-60mph I would break traction till it was going straight again, this was on dry pavement too.

IMO a rwd car is a better race car overall whether it be on a road course or straight line. Anywho off topic, lets start up a sweet race your galant thread.

I've owned a Galant and a Volvo, and the Volvo is a much better designed car, much more fun to drive too, even stock it would whoop the pants off of a lot of Galants.

i have driven volvos and none of them where as fun or quick as my 7G. i almost bought a 2001 s60 turbo. it wasn't that great

yes, you're right. I just realized left foot braking is to fight understeer on fwd. oops.
