Didn't DANJ say that you could just remove the chrome trim around the windows and it's black underneath? If it wasn't DANJ, it was somebody else. :?:

the trim that goes around the top of the door is removable. just pull it off and it will be like the DE/GTZ

Thanks. There's a group buy going on for black trim (that sounds bad, or good depending how you feel about it ), but I remembered that this was like a free modification that one could do - and save $100 bucks.

the group buy thats going on is for the trim on the bottom of the window. i don't think you can just delete that part unlike the trim on the top of the door.

That's because the GTZ doesn't have the chrome trim at the top - hence what Pinoy said, "just pull it off and it will be like the DE/GTZ".

yea, just pull it off. i guess the only thing you might break is the trim. but then you're removing it so its no biggie.

Anyone know where I could get the black DE trim without access to a junkyard? Any online places to order from?

Yea I pulled the top stuff off, I was looking for replacement bottom trim, I may just paint it though

The bottom pieces are called window trim belts and the black ones run about $80+ from the dealer for all 4 pieces. I replaced almost all my trim pieces and those needed it the most being becasue of the fugly OEM chrome.
