So I have a high flow cat sitting around....I doubt i'll see any power gains from it, but would it make the exaust note any deeper? I noticed with the 5 speed it is deeper than it used to be...I want it a little deeper than it is now and was wondering if the cat would help. Oh...and I should put that on AFTER my smog huh?

Install some high flow resonators..they will "deepen" the sound of your exhaust. My exhaust note noticable changed after I installed 2 high flow resonators on my exhaust on both -G-rim and my GVR4.
This is the only vid I have uploaded to view to where you can hear the exhaust on -G-rim. This was right after I initially installed the turbo setup.

Nice...I remember those vids Kev. I have no resonators so I think mine is as deep as it will get. I might skip the high flow cat all together. It was a thought. Although I might keep it for later if I decide to get back on board with my turbo setup. If gas goes down I may entertain the idea again

As for cats most modern "high flow" cat like flowmaster or what not will do a better job cleaning your exhaust than the 15+ year old pos found on your Galant....AND it flows better too so why not.
