    DC Sports Strut bar

I recently traded my RRE STB to qnz for his DC STB and I love how it looks under the hood, not to mention with a stiff suspension like I do, the bar significantly increases the rigidity of the front by pulling the two shock towers together... and you can totally feel the difference once you push the car on 235's in 90 degree weather..

anyways, my question for people who has ran the same bar, did you modify the dipstick tube at all or did you just live with the fact that everytime you have to check or change your oil you have to take the bar off?

tonight was the first time I checked the oil on the car since I've installed the bar and I'm too lazy to remove it so wondering if anyone has done anything to remedy it.

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

I have the same strut bar. I don't have to remove the bar when taking off the dip stick..

i'm assuming you have the i4 if you're having "issues" with the dip stick?

I loved that bar but that was the only reason I got rid of it. Yes on I4s the oil dip stick sits right underneath, I did not feel like taking it off every time.

I have the DC bar installed on my 2003 I4. You don't have to remove the bar at all to remove the oil dipstick. Simply lift the dipstick until it hits the bottom of the bar then slide it on a 45 degree angle the rest of the way out until the handle clears the bar. It's fine.
