    3G throttle body?

    i though i read some where that this is a good throttle body mod is this true and will it fit the 8th gen l4's?

    Yeah it should be the same becaues it's the same engine. I have one i got from an eclipse. it looks just like the one I have right now...... in a couple days it's going to be different though... :darthgrin:

    does the mos add power? or is it one of those mod's that work best when you have an intake to. does it add power?

    It can better your air flow but like you were saying it would work better with an intake..... Even better if you bore it out.

    gonna have to find a machint to bore it out but im definatly going to do that.

    You would definatelly have to bore it out to make any real power from it..

    how much as in measurement i was one that was 56mm for 175 but i think it has to be alot more that that right

    I think 65mm is hte largest you can go without any fuel mods I think I can't remeber exactly how it works. you may wanna talk to the guys at www.visionimports.com They sell prebored Throttle bodies.

    i think any intar=ke wiss stilll fit with no prob. whether you go AEM or INJEN they will both work gine. Just whether you want CAI or short Ram

    you might als owanna check out http://www.proflowdesign.com/ they have a program where u can swap tb's with them. they send u a bored one and send em ur old one when ur done with it

    i didnyt see any T/B the were bigger than 52 and ive seen a 56 mm one already does anyone know where i can get a 65mm T/B

    I believe RPW sells a 65mm TB. But you DO, of course realize, that 65mm is larger than your intake manifold opening, which means you'll need to weld and machine your manifold in addition to adding the very expensive 65mm TB.

    You can always go to a speed shop who does installs and have them bore yours out.. thats how mine was done

    im going to go ahead and get the manifold bored out and have it fit to the 65mm TB

    does anyone have the overbored 62mm tb from proflow? is there really a performance gain? i've been looking into this for a while now but i can't find any info on this... i know some eclipse owners say theres very little to no gains at all.... i mean... 2mm is not all that much, or i could be wrong?
