crank position sensor. Its down next to the crank sproket
Alright, I haven't been around here in a couple years, but I need some help. My brother in law bought my 97 ES. He of course wrecked it the day he paid it off, but that's besides the point...hopefully.
Well, it had trouble warm starting, but he just ignored it. Now it won't start at all. His mechanic (who doesn't seem to with it on cars that have fuel injection), has replaced the Temp Sensor, ECU and distributor. Still having the same problem, no spark at all. I suggested using a voltmeter and checking voltages (and resistance on the distributor if the voltage checks out).
But it seems unlikely that we're going to have the exact same problem with two distributors. Any thoughts as to what it may be?

Also on the 7g the Distributors are year specific. So if you have a 94-95, then you need the distributor for the 94-95. Same goes for the 96-98.
But Id check the crank position sensor first.
And welcome back man, its been awhile since I have seen you post!
7g for life!
