    trans noises when cold and when first pressing on gas

    my trans has been making wierd grinding like noise when it is cold and when you press the gas when taking of slow. It seems to shift fine jsut noises.you can here it in the cabin. i have 74,000+ on car 99 model.what should i do. any others here?

    When was the last time you had it flushed and filled??? Grinding is not good....That's the first thing I'd have done.

    My tranny only makes noises when I shift into reverse without giving the car ample time to warm up (about when the temperature needle starts to move). Other than that it's usually not noisey.
