Unless you have a bottomless pocketbook you can't afford to do the VR4 swap. Even still at that point you might as well just get a 9G Galant, swap in an Endeavor drivetrain and make a custom rear driveshaft and you could have the closest legal US equivalent in the 9G.
But for the 8G its not worth it, you may as well just spend the $20,000 to import one from Japan and keep your other Galant as a daily driver.
