    Oil Light

    Hi everyone,

I have a 99 Galant with 65000 miles. The oil light came on just before my last oil change. I have checked the oil level and it is fine. I talked to a dealer and they said it may be the sensor is bad. I bought a new sensor, anyone know where the oil pressure sensor is located on a 99 Galant 4cyl?
:?: I am looking to change the sensor myself and save some cash.
    I appreciate any help..

    Thanks

    Oil Sensor Found

Hi, Thanks for the response. I put a new one in and the light stayed on constantly. I assume it is a bad sensor so I put the old one back in and I am going to return the one I bought for an exchange.

Anyone else ever have this problem :?:

    its a pretty common failure.

Although i have never had to replace a brand new unit before.
