Lovin the Legnum, i like the sedan best but nothing is like beating other cars with a WAGON :D
We are still fighting the norwegian car import law. We are not allowed getting roadlegal RHD drive cars. Only 1 VR-4 G8 here and its not road legal. (No license plate)
The laws are same in here, in Czech rep. but a friend of mine just take a plane to UK, buyed an G8 VR4 Legnum, drive it in here and make a conversion to LHD... Here are some pictures of it...http://www.mitsubishiklub.cz/foto-al...um-vr-4-type-s
and of the conversion process - http://www.mitsubishiklub.cz/foto-album/upravy
Ive helped him to find and buy an normal V6 8G (damaged autotranny) to take the firewall and some other things to make it road leagal here in CZ...
Should be finished and with licence plates in march or so...

So our club entered, and we picked up Best Club Display at the show and shine!
Just a couple of pics with my car...
I'm on far right, can see car peeking in background.
I'm not in the next two pics as was looking at houses to rent at the time...
And that's Trevor, mine and Alex's illegitimate alien child in the driver's seat apparently!
Here's a short video clip...

It's not the RHD that makes it difficult, it's the fact that the car originally wasn't type-approved in Europe, only sold in Japan and denied the US and European markets that stops people from importing and registering it in Norway. That's also the reason why we don't get the older Skylines or any of the special edition cars of any brand from any country.
There are lots of RHD cars with white registration plates in Norway, but they are regular cars like Ford Escorts and such imported from Great Britain or Ireland. The reason those cars are allowed, but not the VR-4 Galant, is that the Fords and whatnot are type-approved in Europe, and hence they are eligible for registration in Norway as well, and without the hassle.
The Norwegian bureaucrats have long since realized that the only job satisfaction they will ever get, is to deny hopeful people that have scrounged up enough dosh to buy their dream cars the right to legally drive it with legal plates. They are basically being difficult to deal with for the sake of being difficult.
However, since Sweden is a member of the EU, and the VR-4 Galant has officially been imported to Great Britain, which is also a member of the EU, there is a loophole. Norway is a member of the EEC, which is sort of a subsidiary or lower class of EU member (we reap some of the benefits, but also have to accept the bad stuff, and we can't reject). One of the points in the EEC agreement pertains to importing cars and loosely says that if a car has been lawfully registered in an EU country, has the necessary import papers, techincal documentation and required approvals, then an EEC member has to accept that documentation and allow the car for registration. And so, since there are legally registered VR-4's in Sweden, and Mitsubishi Sweden has the required type-approval papers needed to get the VR-4's legally registered in Norway... :)
Ooo, nice!
I found a LHD VR-4 wagon on Polish plates last summer while browsing through a Polish auction site which had been converted like that. Imported from Japan to Britan by a Brit, sold to a Polish worker, who drove it back to Poland, crashed it, sold it for scrap to another Pole, who fixed it up and converted it to LHD. I don't know if the seller sold it or decided to keep it, though. Would be so sweet to get hold of a Legnum VR-4 :)
Edit: The car should be ready till 14 of February, because the maintenance inspection and emissions from UK are till March.
