Japanese spec EC5A EC5W handbrake cover is direct bolt-on for the 7G Galant. I wonder what the local EC8A handbrake lever look like? It's quite sporty in the Japanese market version with a boot and nice soft black material.

But the whole thing is one piece and mounted on oposite side of the midle console because of RHD. I had the same idea, when my friend buyed an VR4 from England.

Let me take a picture of my handbrake when i get home. its nice and not hard to do at all, and it matches the stitched steering wheel

AFAIK the left side right side thing is of no concern because the way Mitsubishi designed it.
just look inside the center console and you'll understand what I mean.
is that stock?
I think it has been upholstered
that's stock for 8G JDM version.
oh let me guess we got shafted again?
heres mine
that came out of the 8G or is it your original handbrake lever? Coz mine looks like this:
very plain jane.
thats stock, even for US models
mko, are the vents from a 3G eclipse? Also, I'm guessing the center stack is from a JDM/EDM 8G?

That's a pretty good idea for the vents using the 3G ones.. If you don't like the way they turn out, you could always put a gauge in there..
I was in the J/Y and i saw this handle in a big ass Dodge, but cant remember what model it was, but it was some late 90 early 00. I sprayed some wd40 on my handle and slid it right on top. It fits perfectly.
