Removing center stack in 2008 Galant to install CD player?

I am about to install a Sony headunit on a 2008 Galant and am unsure how to take off the stock dash piece.

I assume the HVAC knobs pull out, but am stumped after that. Is there screws or clips? I have the scosche replacement piece also coming for it along with the deck.

Any other tips, tricks would be great.

    Thanks!

No screws or clips.. You don't have to take off the knobs.. You just pull the whole thing off from the bottom.. Where you have the little cubby space..

I hope I'm not too late...but yeah you just pull it from the bottom. There are 2 fastening clips on the bottom and two on the top. Really easy to pull off.

on mine i cant take off the trim around the shifter assembly with just fingers and the top bit around headunit, aircon etc can be pried off very easily as well. good luck with installation.
