The only AWD donors would be an Evo or an Eclipse GSX. You can use the 3G transmission as long as it isn't for the V6. If you are running that transmission you can keep the 4G64 block.
Do you mean leaving the stock 4G64 motor and going awd? It would work but the car would be a slug, more driveline loss due to the awd conversion with no added power from the engine.
If you mean does the 4G64 block physically bolt up to the awd trans, well the answer to that is yes as well.

I am not talking about the transmission when I said donors. I was talking about the rear end.
alright i was talkin about the 4g64 block, but i will do the dohc swap and turbo it too, before i do the awd stuff
ok ok stupid question... is there anyway that a 3G eclipse tranny can work with an AWD set up.. or do i have to look for an evo one?
if i have the evo tranny the rear 2g GSX rear end would work with that?
can the evo 9 mr 6 speed work with are galants?

6 speed EVO trannies are nightmares, even EVO guys hate them. They are weak, parts are hard to find and nobody really really rebuilts them right.
You cannot make a 3g tranny awd.
Also in terms of the rear end you should get a 2g AUTOMATIC GSX rear end, the manual rear end is not the same gear ratio as the EVO transfer case outputs so using anything else will lead to problems because the front wheels and rear wheels will spin at different speeds.

You need the entire evo transmission. Like he said before you cant make the 3G transmission awd.
