What?
$600 a month for a payment at 6% APR and a minimum of $200/month for insurance unless you're well over 25. Add in at least $100/month for maintenance of a very high-maintenance high-performance car.
That's $900/month. You want to rephrase what you just said? It's more affordable to lease a BMW 5 series.
Unless you credit is crap you should be able to get way under 6%.
It's not a $15-20k car. It's harder to get a low interest rate.
I'm not paying 6%. I pay less. And I don't think you quite understand that 6% is actually pretty damn low. The national average is about 7.0% for new cars, even with the shit economy. THAT is if you can even get approved right now.
But go find out for yourself.
But I'll challenge any of you. Go look at a new Evo this weekend. If you can get one off the lot and actually be able to afford it, you win. This isn't one of those scenarios I'm arguing from a "what if" perspective. I obviously know better than anybody here, except fellow new Evo X owners, what the truth is.
I am not saying you can not afford it nor am I saying I can. I am saying that right now I can get a new car loan for 3.75% for up to 60 monthes.
