I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

cuz on the Mirage forums when they swap the 4G93 for the 4G64 they always have to replace the trans with either a 8G/3G automatic or a 3G manual.
You can use the Mirage transmission, the 7 bolt non turbo 4G63 from a 1G DSM is the same size as the Mirage Flywheel. That flywheel is hard as hell to find, took me 2 months to find one. Came from the 92.5-94 4G63 Eclispe/Talon.

but the orientation of the 7-bolt non turbo 4G63 is totally different from the 7-bolt 4G64 for the 8G's. Might fit the 7G's though if I understand correctly.

Orientation does not matter, I thought that to but the swap has been done in a Mirage. Using the Mirage transmission will put the starter behind the engine like the 7G, but thats a good thing in my opinion.

I'll be trying it soon, but the swap has been done. I got lucky today at the pull a part. I found a 5 speed GTS, the front was cut off but shifter/w cables and pedals where still there. Sadly the clutch line had been cut, but I only paid $37.84 for the shifter, clutch pedal, master and black e-brake. I'm going back tuesday for the rear disk.

i see you got some work done by mark at one6 i live like 5 minutes from there

  15. #95
yup. Mark's the only shop I trust. I make the 40 min trek out to Elk Grove everytime I need parts.

Although, I work on my car myself. I just buy parts there, and sometimes I'll have him work on it when i don't have time to do it myself.

the way the car sits at the moment. She's a very confused car. Grille color is once again gunmetal, She is still waiting on a M/T swap (I need to stop being lazy and get off my ass and find a trans), tails are again tinted, but much much lighter this time, and I got the stickers I had Seth make today along with the "No fat chicks/will rub sticker". I know no one here likes stickers but to each his own and I am not taking them off. =P lol
