yes, we can use obd2 dataloggers, but it wont do the same things as the eclipses in tf&tf. the eclipse used the laptop for his "standalone fuel management system" and his "NAAWWWWZ"

obd2 dataloggers can be hooked up to palm pilots and they can give you the error code from check engine lights and other various readings

get a 4g63T swap, along with either, a 95 eprom ecu and dsmlink, or, a aem ems standalone system, and you can hook it up to a laptop and have purdy graphics and everything

Yes like spinich just said, you can do the swap and get DSMlink, but it will cost bank.
