Benefits of a conversion?

Alot of people seem to be converting their engines to either a 4g64 or a 4g72. I was just wondering what exactly are the benefits of doing this?

I4 galant = 4G64
V6 galant = 6G72

for I4, you can swap to a EVO VIII or IX 4G63T, or do a head swap
for V6, you can swap to a 6G74, 6G75 (with a ton of work), and actually a 4G63T (Vegasmatt)
