How bout both. gen1 Maft is good for translating, but its not good for fine tuning. SAFC is good for fine tuning. MAFT gen2 = MAFT gen 1+ SAFC

tuning+translating+wideband tracking and adjusting(auto adjusts to keep whatever AFR you want)

sell it to a honda ricer and get a maft gen 2
higher resolution, more tuning points, 3 load ranges, injector scaling, LOGGING CAPABILITY!!!!! wideband tracking/closed loop wot
and on top of all of htis it allows you to throw your oddly shaped, uber-restrictive stock mass airflow sensor in the trash; and run a pretty 3"(or 3.5") GM mass airflow sensor that will go perfectly into your custom air intake or turbo system.
once you are turbo, you can run your gm MAS after your blow-off valve so you can vent your blow-off vlave to the atmosphere and make super cool turbo noises.
