    Cracked Intake Manifold

I did a search and saw a few suggestions for used retailers.

Is there not a company that makes an aftermarket intake manifold for 8 gen?

your best bet is to get one from a junkyard, also change up your motor mounts. thats the reason why it cracked in the first place. if you dont replace them it will just happen again.

would most likely be a 4 cylinder, i think 6 cyl Galant have 2 intake cast-iron plenums (not sure if that's the correct name for the material :? )

to the original poster: check www.car-part.com and see if any junkyards nearby have another one, of if they have an Outlander Intake Manifold from a Non-MIVEC 2000 - 2003 (gotta ask drybear for the exact years, i don't remember what end year it was *oops* )

def a 4, 6 wont crack even if you take a hammer to that fucker...

Your best bet is to swap your motor mount for better ones, and to do the outlander intakemanny and TB swap. i belive it was ivory8g who had some parts... or maybe galantofva... someone with a white 8g lol

and i think beigegalant had his swapped aswell...

please don't mention M*t*r M**nds. I had all of them replaced about 2 years back. Would hate to have to replace them again.
I'm not experiencing any shaking coming from the engine, but I'll have them checked.

mines a 4 cyl. Been reading that they are pretty flimsy. Thanks for the replies. I'll check the links and report back with the end result.

coming up on 10 years and this is the only major prob that I've had. Hopefully I can keep her for another 3-5 years.
