metal to metal vibration sound from hood area

so in park or neutral there is no vibration. in drive or reverse there is a vibration that you can hear by ear. it usually happens after the car has been running for at least 15 minutes. this morning i had someone press on the brake in drive while i checked out the noise. after the hood was popped from the inside the vibration stopped completely. do i need a new hood latch?

Maybe just a better adjustment will help... Check the buffers on the hood and srew them a little bit out.

what are the buffers? the round black stoppers? they are adjustable?

You can srew them - they will go down or up...
So the hood can be adjusted....
